Stuart Radley Associates is an independent firm of Chartered Building Surveyors with offices in Brighton, Eastbourne and Chichester and has been established since 1999. We are a professional consulting practice and offer a wide range of Building Surveying services in all disciplines of the profession in both the residential and commercial sector. With offices in Brighton, Eastbourne, Chichester we are able to offer professional advice throughout Sussex and beyond.
The firm has naturally grown as a business and we believe this to be as a result of personal, informative and sensible advice offered to clients based upon our staff’s multiple combined years of experience and training.
We are regulated by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which means we adhere to strict codes of conduct and guidelines on working practices.
Our staff members consist of Chartered Building Surveyors, Building Surveyors, Architectural Technicians, Property Managers and administrative staff. Brief profiles of some of our staff members are shown below:
Stuart is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, having qualified in 1988 and he holds a Masters degree from the University of Cambridge.
Stuart has worked in both the public and private sector and has over 30 years' surveying experience. He has over 20 years' experience of acting as an expert witness in legal disputes and has worked on a wide range of projects, both in the commercial and residential sector. He is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club and has considerable experience in party wall disputes.
Stuart founded Stuart Radley Associates in 1999.
Steve graduated from Brighton University in 1995 with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying. He has over 20 years' surveying experience since graduation and extensive experience in the construction industry.
He is a member of the Association of Building Engineers and has previously been the Vice Chairman of the Sussex branch of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club. Steve joined the practice in April 2001 and deals with various aspects of our building surveying activities.
Steve graduated from Brighton University in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2000. He joined the practice in November 2004 and has over 20 years' surveying experience.
Steve undertakes a range of work, including Building Surveys, Homebuyer Reports, dilapidations claims and contract administration.
Steve heads up the Eastbourne branch to the east of the county.
Max graduated from Brighton University with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and joined the practice in 2014. Max qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2017 and continues to approach all his work in a professional manner.
Max is also a member of the Sussex branch of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club.
Max undertakes a range of work, including Building Surveys, Party Wall work, Contract Administration, Maintenance Reports and Defect Diagnosis Reports.
Max heads up the Chichester office to the west of the county.
Morag is a qualified Architectural Technician from South Africa, having obtained a National Diploma in 1984 from Witwatersrand Technikon, Johannesburg. She has over 30 years' architectural experience and joined the practice in 2006. Morag deals with the architectural side of the practice which involves offering advice to clients and preparing and submitting Planning and Building Regulation applications. Morag has extensive knowledge on conservation and is experienced in submitting listed building applications.
